TERMS & CONDITIONS

 

1. You understand that this event is not organised by Young Lives vs Cancer, but a third party event organiser � London Marathon Events Ltd. 

 2.You agree and adhere to the terms and conditions set out by the event organiser for your this event.  

 3. You understand that your details will be passed to the event organiser in order for them to contact you about your place in the event. 

 4. If you have purchased a Young Lives vs Cancer charity place, you may be required to complete a second stage of registration with the organisers. If this is the case, you will be notified by Young Lives vs Cancer. It is your responsibility to complete this second stage of registration. If you do not complete it by the given deadline then you will not be able to take part in the event and your registration fee will not be refunded.    

 5. If you have purchased a Young Lives vs Cancer charity place in your event, you pledge to raise at least the minimum advertised sponsorship amount for the charity. 

 6. You should send in your sponsorship to Young Lives vs Cancer within four weeks of your event date.  

 7. You understand that Gift Aid is not counted towards your minimum sponsorship amount but does provide a vital boost in funds for Young Lives vs Cancer. 

 8. You understand that any registration fee that you have paid to Young Lives vs Cancer to secure your guaranteed place in your event is non-refundable  

 9. When confirming your charity place with Young Lives vs Cancer, you agree to meet the following fundraising milestones. Failure to do so may result in Young Lives vs Cancer withdrawing your charity place in the event. 
- If you've signed up as a charity place runner before 31st October, you will need to raise a minimum of 25% of your fundraising pledge (�625) by 7th January 2027. 
-  If you've signed up as a charity place runner after 31st October, you will need to raise a minimum of 25% of your fundraising pledge (�625) within eight weeks of signing up to the event. For those signing up after 1st January 2027, you must reach 25% by 28th February 2027.  
- The remaining 75% of your fundraising is due by 24th May 2027. 

10. By accepting a charity place, you understand that Young Lives vs Cancer has the right (in its absolute discretion) to withdraw your place at any time if they consider that you are not committed to raising the pledged sponsorship or if you fail to comply with agreed obligations. 

 11. You will let Young Lives vs Cancer know as soon as possible if you are unable to participate in your chosen event. 

 12. You will fundraise in accordance with guidance provided in Young Lives vs Cancer's fundraising guide and through legal methods only.  

 13. You allow Young Lives vs Cancer to use any images, video or audio taken of you on your chosen race day to promote future events and activities.  

14. You understand that Young Lives vs Cancer does not accept any responsibility for any injury, loss or damage incurred during participation in your event.  

 15. You will consult your doctor before taking part in the event if you have any concerns about your health or physical condition. 

16. You take part in your chosen event at your own risk.  

 17. You must be aged 18 years old by the event date of 24th April 2027
